The naturally scenic island of Koh Tao is home to stunning beaches, is well regarded by dive enthusiasts and, despite recent development, is where picture-book Thailand can still be found tucked away.
Our vastly experienced travel advisors are passionate about Koh Tao. With first-hand knowledge of the island they can advise which resort and hotel is best for you to create the perfect holiday, at the best possible price.
Getting there: There are no direct flights from the UK to Koh Tao. Bangkok is approximately 11 hours 30 minutes (non-stop flights) from the UK, the onward flight to Koh Samui is approximately 1 hour 30 minutes and then Koh Tao is a 2 hour boat journey away.
Best time to travel: Koh Tao can be visited all year round although conditions are changeable throughout the year. Koh Tao’s monsoon usually arrives around the end of November, which can bring heavy rain, strong winds and high waves – although boat services usually continue. From October to March the tide is high so it’s better for swimming and snorkeling, while from April to September when the tide is low during the day, the beaches are wider for sunbathing and beach activities.
