Day 1: Fly to Cape Town.

Day 2 Cape Town: On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Days 3-4 Cape Town: You have two full days to explore Cape Town. You may like to book one of our sightseeing excursions or simply sightsee at your leisure. Attractions not to be missed include taking the cable car to the summit of legendary Table Mountain (weather permitting) for superb views of the city. Perhaps visit the country’s oldest building, The Castle, stroll around the Company Gardens or sense the depth of history at the Parliament Buildings, City Hall and Slave Lodge. A visit to Robben Island is also recommended (pre-booking tickets prior to departure is suggested as this tour is very popular) as is the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront where you’ll find numerous shops, bars, restaurants and entertainment.

Day 5 Cape Town/Stellenbosch: Your hire car will be delivered to your hotel this morning and you will then begin your journey east towards Stellenbosch in the hearthe Winelands region (approx 45 minutes drive).

Day 6 Stellenbosch: A full day to take in the delights of this quaint town. The town’s wine route comprises five different routes encompassing some 100 estates which are open to the public. Hire a bicycle and enjoy a tour followed, of course, by some wine tasting! Alternatively, the Vine Hopper bus offers two routes with the option to hop on and off as you choose at a variety of wine estates.

Day 7 Stellenbosch/Hermanus: Continue your journey towards the town of Hermanus (approx 1½ hours drive) which is situated on the southern coast of the Western Cape Province and is a great place for watching southern right whales during the winter season (July to November).

Day 8 Hermanus/Knysna: Travel to the beautiful town of Knysna along the Garden Route (approx 4½ hours drive). Nestled between the pristine Knysna estuary, the Indian Ocean and thousands of acres of beautiful indigenous forest.

Days 9-10 Knysna: Two days to relax and enjoy this lovely town. We highly recommend taking a boat trip out onto the lagoon, or perhaps taking the ferry to the nearby Featherbed Nature Reserve. Or you may prefer to simply explore the town which has numerous shops, bars and restaurants.

Day 11 Knysna/Eastern Cape: Drive to the Eastern Cape and your home for the next two nights, Kuzuko Lodge (approx 4½ hours drive).

Day 12 Eastern Cape: Today you have the opportunity to spot wildlife during a morning or afternoon game drive within the private game reserve. There is also the option of a nature walk, a cheetah walk or enjoying an indulgent spa treatment.

Day 13 Eastern Cape/Port Elizabeth: Drive to Port Elizabeth airport (approx 2 hours drive) where you will return your car and your tour concludes with your onward journey.
